Monthly replacement contact lenses can offer a better value for money. But continuous use can cause changes to the lens resulting to a declining level of comfort. This can be due to decreased lens hydration, protein and dirt deposits on the lens, and others that may be caused by improper handling and cleaning.

Emphasis is given to patient education when the decision is made to use contact lenses. Different products can be recommended in the proper care of the lens. But you can’t simply change the moisture content of lenses, so in order to cope with the discomfort caused by decrease in lens hydration, eye drops may be prescribed or the lenses may be temporarily removed.

Acuvue Vita monthly replacement contact lenses are especially formulated to address this concern.

Acuvue Vita soft contacts offer the HydraMax Technology to help boost and maintain hydration in Acuvue Vita Contacts lenses.

The HydraMax Technology integrates the hydrating agent and lipids into the lens to provide superior lens hydration and comfort.

Acuvue Vita Contacts are available as spherical lenses for near- and farsighted correction prescriptions. They are designed for daily wear (<24 hours while awake) and recommended for replacement after one month.

Technology

Acuvue Vita contact lenses are made with senofilcon C, a hydrophilic lens material with 41% water content.

HydraMax Technology is a non-coated silicone hydrogel formulation. The hydration agent is integrated in the lens. With HydraMax Technology, a uniform amount of lipids are integrated (not deposited on the lens) in the lens. Lipids play an important role in keeping the natural tear film stable, this is the same function that the HydraMax™ Technology aimed to achieve in.

Acuvue Vita Contacts With the integrated hydrating agent and lipids, maximum hydration is achieved and maintained.

Acuvue Vita Soft Contact Lenses are made with INFINITY EDGE™ Design. With the INFINITY EDGE™ Design, contact lens edges are tapered making the edges smooth with a minimal height. This edge profile minimizes discomfort during contact with the eyelids and therefore improves comfort.

Acuvue Vita contact lenses meet the UV standards for monthly contact lenses. It blocks 93.4% UVA rays and 99.8% UVB rays. A benzotriazole UV-absorbing monomer is integrated in the lens as UV protection.
