Question

Hi,

Recently, I have been having trouble with focusing my eyes. I every now and then it would feel like I have this weird film over them and I'm having trouble reading, or just seeing things, up close even though I have myopia.

My current prescription is still pretty new, so that makes me think that isn't the issue.

Answer

Thanks for your Question

I need to ask you few questions:

1- what medications are you using now, eye drops or oral?

2- Blurry vision is temporary for few minutes or all the time?

3- Blurry vision for near distance or also for far distance?

4- Any eye irritation, redness or burning sensation?

The only medications I take are albuterol and migraine meds when needed.

The length of time they are blurry differs, but when it happens, I have to push through it. The blurriness happens for both, but the near sighted issues worries me more.

I get no burning or anything but I do, sometimes, get some pressure.

It seems you have computer vision syndrome. You need to rest your eye from using the computer. Read this article about computer vision syndrome.

Try to use lubricant eye drops. It helps to reduce dry eyes caused by using the computer for along time.
