Question

Hi,

I knew that I have strabismus since I was 7 but it was very mild and I wasn't able to notice it but when I reached 14 years old I noticed that my strabismus get worse a little and now I am 19 and I think that I don't have lazy eyes (amblyopia).

My question is could I develop lazy eyes now or no, because I think my both eyes developed equally, and what I have to do with my strabismus ? and if I just leave it without surgery could it harm my eye?

I hope to answer me and thank you for your time.

Thanks for your Question

I need to ask you few questions:

1- What is your vision in both eyes with eyeglasses and without eyeglasses

2- If you wear eyeglasses, what are its refractive power?

3- Do you have double vision?

4- Strabismus in both eyes or just one eye and the strabismus is inward or outward?

You can't develop a lazy eye at this age. You might need surgery to fix the strabismus but without a report from your doctor i can't help you.

Can i ask what do you call with this eye disorder? I have this normal eye sight it's just that my eye ball has a uncontrollable movements.

Never go to a eye doctor that's why i don't have any idea what is the problem.

Thank You

There are many forms of strabismus with normal visual acuities. You have to be examined by eye doctor to find out the cause and possible treatments.
