Consumer Reviews of Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner

Positive Feedback:

  • It stays the entire day without smudging. Just make sure it fully dries after application before doing anything or it’ll smear.

  • I have very sensitive eyes that get easily irritated with eye make-up. So far this liquid liner is the only thing that can work for me.

  • The short, stiff brush is great for controlled strokes.

  • I can easily take it off with my usual make-up remover.

  • It’s easier to use compared to other liners that I’ve used. It’s easy to apply and glides on smoothly.

  • It’s highly pigmented. The blackest black was very black and I didn’t have to put several more coats. I also love the matte finish.

  • Very crisp dark lines that goes well whether with thin or thick lines.

  • The quality is great for the price.

  • Perfect for making cat eyes.

  • I’m not a pro and I make mistakes every now and then. That’s why I love the fact that it is easy to fix mistakes with this liner.

Negative Feedback:

  • The pigment gets lighter after several uses.

  • It stings my eye. I’ve tried it 3 times just to be sure, but every time I use it I get red eyes with itching.

  • It runs near the waterline.

  • I had difficulty getting it off by washing.

  • It was great for few hours then it started to fade and crease.

  • It doesn’t work well with my oily skin.

  • It’s a bit watery. Applying additional coats is almost impossible. The staying power is awful.

  • I don’t like how the applicator felt. I had a hard time applying a smooth line.

Safety Precautions:

  • Handle and use the applicator with sanitary care.

  • Cap it tightly after every use to prevent drying of the formula.

  • Do not dilute the product with any additive.

  • Do not use if your eyes are irritated, injured, or infected.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner is pretty cheap and wouldn’t really hurt your pocket if you’ll give it a try. Just keep in mind that this is not a waterproof formula and shouldn’t be compared with a waterproof one.

The tip applicator has worked for some, but not for others; it’s something you probably need to get a feel with before you can judge if it will work for you or not. Getting a 2.5 mL liner product for just $6 to $9 that will work for you for an everyday wear is definitely a steal.
