Collagen diseases or autoimmune diseases like SLE (systemic lupus erythematous) and Rheumatoid arthritis will affect the healing process of cornea post surgery.

Patient with HIV or with cancer and on chemotherapy will have high risk of infection post surgery. Patient with diabetic mellitus will have also high risk of poor wound healing and also in case of uncontrolled diabetes mellitus you will have fluctuation of vision so your doctor will not be able to determine what exactly your refractive error was.

Also you should know that after lasik surgery your vision might changes because of the complications of diabetes mellitus in your eyes like diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and cataract.
