Hi

I'm 17 years old. I went with my mom this morning for a regular eye exam and after having my eyes dilated i was diagnosed by the doctor with a retinal hole in my right eye and i then researched it and i don't seem to have any of the symptoms what should i do?

Answer

Thanks for your Question

Peripheral retinal holes are usually without any symptoms. Some of these retinal holes should be sealed with laser retinopexy in order to prevent retinal detachment while other types require only follow up. Your eye doctor will advise you what is the next step.
