Question

Hi,

My right eye pressure is 52, my doctor is recommending emergency Ahmed valve surgery. Is it promising for me to try the trabectome before the valve?

I have also developed cataracts in that eye. Never had any surgery

Thanks

Thanks for your Question

Ahmad valve has good results in controlling High intraocular pressure and it can be used in patients who has high risk for trabeculectomy.

Trabectome is a new procedure with promising results.

Your eye doctor will depend on ocular examinations to decide which procedure is better for you, Ahmad Valve or Trabectome.
