Answer

Thanks for your Question

Usually Cold or Flu is associated with Viral conjunctivitis or pink eyes and symptoms of pink eye are Redness, foreign body, burning and tingling sensation and white discharge.

Viral conjunctivitis usually last for a week to 10 days and usually it starts in one eye and then transmitted to the other eye. It is contagious and transmitted by direct contact such as using towels, hand shake and so on.

We give eye drops just to reduce these annoying symptoms because there is no cure for viral conjunctivitis. Fluorometholone eye drops or mild steroid eye drops such as Lotemax Eye Drops can be used for a week to 10 days with antibiotic eye drops to prevent superimposed bacterial infection.
