Question

Hi,

I am a 32 year old female. I have no eye diseases or had any surgeries. I have worn glasses since I was 10 years old and contacts since I was 13 years old.

I haven never had this problem that I am experiencing up until recently. I am having trouble wearing/seeing with my contacts. The become smudgy/blurry and irritating after only a few minutes.

I have taken them out numerous times and cleaned them and put them back in only to be fine for a few minutes. I have tried brand new pairs of contacts and even different brands and same thing happens.

I have similar problems when trying to wear contacts with the added moisture (acuvue advance/oasys) with them seeming to have the blurry/filmy experience, but not irritating.

I have never had problems with allergies, but could this be a cause? It's getting very frustrating, as I do not prefer wearing my glasses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Thanks for your Question

Most likely you suffer from dry eyes. first you have to remove contact lens for few days and use preserve free artificial tears such as systane eye drops, optive eye drops or artelac advance every 2 hours.

when you are wearing contact lens try to use artificial tears every few hours that are made special for contact lenses such as systane for contact lens.

Try to use contact lenses that are FDA approved for patients with dry eyes.
