Question

Hi,

Chief Complain - I normally wear glasses. recently (several months ago) I started getting more blurred vision in my right eye and noticing discharge especially in the mornings. Discharge initially was caked around my eyelids but now has reduced to just the inner corner when I wake up.

I also noticed my right eye seems sensitive to light and feels slight bruised internally. I can physically see more wrinkles on my right lower eyelid than my left as if it is injured or something.

Duration - 2 months

Thanks for your Question

It looks like you have blepharitis which is inflammation of the eyelid margin. It causes itchy eye, dry eyes, crusty eyelid margin and eye discharge especially on morning.

Light sensitivity or photophobia is one complication of dry eyes.

Another complication of dry eye is blurred vision because tears film play an important role in visual acuity.

One of the causes of Blepharitis is using eye drops for a long time without proper lid hygiene. Ingredients of eye drops will participate on the lid margin.

I don't why you are using Visine eye drops. I prefer not to use any eye drops unless it is prescribed by your eye doctor.

After you treat blepharitis, if your condition doesn't improve, you should visit your eye doctor.
