Question

Hi,

I had my PRK surgery 2 an half days ago and I accidentally without knowingly rubbed my eyes when I was wiping off water off my face after taking a shower after, I experienced blurriness and sandy feeling in my eyes after that.

Would it have a long term effect in my vision and healing process on the surgery?

Thanks!

Answer

Thanks for your Question

After PRK we insert bandage contact lens on the cornea to speed up healing and reduce symptoms such as foreign body and burning sensation.

When you rubbed your eye , you might accidentally removed this contact lens. I would recommend that you visit your eye doctor to make sure that the contact lens is in place.
