Question

Hi,

I made a dumb decision to stare at the sun through 3 pairs of sunglasses for about 2 seconds, my eyes are sensitive to light and hurt a little, can you help me figure if I'm going to have long term or short term eye sight loss?

Thanks

Answer

Thanks for your Question

It is unlikely that you will have solar retinopathy if you wear Sunglasses. Solar retinopathy can occurs immediately or within 2 weeks post exposure and it can cause temporary or permanent visual loss.

You should visit your eye doctor if you notice any visual disturbance.
