Question

Hi,

For the passed couple weeks my eyes have been very watery. My eyes have also been red so I decided to take my contacts off and apply pink eye relief thera tears and for some reason I feel like it made them worse because it made my eye more red and watery .

I went to the ER and the doctor prescribed Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride ophthalmic solution 0.3 as a base but my eyes are still blood shot red and my eye doctor won’t be able to see my until another week .

So I was wondering what I’m able to do to calm down the watery and redness of my eyes.

Thanks

Thanks for your Question

Most Likely you have contact lenses related corneal infection or keratitis. You should not wear contact lenses until your eye is healed completely.

Follow up after a week for a person with this kind of infection is too long. I recommend that you visit the ER again as soon as possible to be sure that this infection didn't get worse.
