Causes of Corneal staining

Hi,

My optometrist discovered on 26-Oct that I have grade 4 corneal staining probably due to soft contact lens. Two weeks before that, I have blurred vision, i thought my myopia increased.

On 24th-Oct I had right eye check up due to shuttlecock hit on 2 Aug. I complaint to dr that my vision is blurred but I think dr did not check my corneal but paid attention on my elevated glaucoma instead. He discharged me for The Eye injury case. Now my pressure back to normal for the injury eye. Now I think I encounter another problem due to soft contact lens.  

I did not wear contact lens since 26-Oct and saw another eye doctor. He prescribes me patanol and said that the stains are on the epithelium for both eyes. He checked the nerves and retina. Everything is fine.

My vision deteriorated for both eyes and visited the doctor again on 2-Nov.  He prescribed 3 days of 0.1% steroid and cravit. He said the stains are lesser and now about grade 2.5 now. He did not see any problem as the stain is getting lesser.

My question is why lesser stain but the vision getting worst? On 26 oct, vision was 6/9, 2 nov is 6/12. How Long does it take to heal the epithelium and regain the vision? Is the healing phase happen such that the vision become poor , then worst , then good again?  Will it leave the scar on the epithelium and affect the vision permanently? I am a glaucoma patient since year 2018. I am a female, 43 years old.

Please help me as I am very worry now.
