Hi,

I have had a right vitrectomy with gas on Nov last year and it is attached now but I have on start of a cataract. My eye is blurry, tired and straind. I have to wear sunglasses most of the time. I was just wondering how long I leave it before I go and get it checked.I have been discharged by my consultant

Usually 6-9 month after the vitrectomy surgery you can do cataract eye surgery especially if your vision is blurred and affected by cataract. You should followup with your doctor every-3-5 month in the first year after vitrectomy surgery.
