Question
Hello!
I am prone to eye dryness because I'm spending a lot of hours in front of the computer daily. And because of this, I need to use eye drops for lubrication every few hours or so.
But my problem is that I cannot use them more than once a day or otherwise my eyes would start burning and getting red (bloodshot). If I use them only once though, I'm totally fine.
At first, I thought that the preservatives were the problem so I switched to preservative-free eye drops. I've tried so many brands and formulas and yet the problem is the same with each one. I'm at a loss as to why is this happening and I would really appreciate an answer from a professional.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Thanks for Your Question
You should use lubricant eye drops only when you have symptoms of dry eye such as foreign body sensation, burning sensation or blurred vision.
It seems you have some sort to allergy to one of the components. Try to use preservative free lubricating with hyaluronic acid such as hylo-comod eye drops or vismed eye drop. Otherwise if there is no improvement you should visit an eye doctor.
