Question

Hi,

During the summer season, my eyes used to feel some kind of irritation when i was a child. It continued for few years when i was 13-14-15-16 years then it vanished.

3 years back i developed same problem and dr said it was conjunctivitis. Again I feel the same kind of irritation now.

Currently, sometimes my right eye feels itchy sometimes left but not both eyes at same time.

I would be very glad if u could comfort my eyes.

Thanks

Thanks for your Question

First of all you have to stop using ofloxacin as this eye drop is an antibiotics and is used only for bacterial conjunctivitis and it is extremely unlikely to have bacterial conjunctivitis for 3 years.

Irritation for this long time is mainly caused by dry eye syndrome. Use lubricant eye drops 3-5 times a day and for severe itching you can use allergy eye drops such as patanol eye drops.
