Dry eyes/allergies
Eye drops for dry eyes. Preservative-free. Single use packaging
Question
Hello,
about two weeks ago, my eye was stinging like something was in it. I tried eye drops but the pain persisted. So I looked into eye using a magnifying mirror, and there were two long hairs growing inside my lateral caruncle.
It seemed to be exact place of the pain. So I carefully plucked them. I didn’t touch my eye with the tweezers or anything. The pain persisted though and within a few days, there was a small white lump inside the red area in the corner of my eye. It looked like a little blister. It stung and has kept stinging. Some days, there has been mucous.
I have had to tape my eye shut because of the stinging. I’ve tried using ice and warm compresses, flushing with water, etc and it still hurts. The blood vessels in that eye have also been red and dilated, especially in the corner nearest my nose.
My other eye has been fine and normal. But my right eye stings and burns. Also, my left eye looks normal but right eye has redness in the corner near my nose. It still looks like maybe there’s a lesion or white bump in the red part.
Do you know what this could be? I don’t have history of eye problems except for dry eyes and allergies, but usually that’s both eyes. Plus, this pin is specifically in a precise spot in my right eye.
Thank you for your time

PermalinkYou have to keep using the lubricant eye drops 3-4 times a day plus you might need to add mild steroid eye drops such as FML 2-3 times a day for a week. It can help with the irritation.
