Answer

Thanks for your Question

Sudden watery red eye with foreign body sensation can be caused either by conjunctival infection or foreign body stuck on your cornea. These are the two most common causes of pink eye or red eye.

It would be better to visit your eye doctor to find out the cause as both are treated differently. Even conjunctival infection , your doctor should know bacterial or viral and what kind of viral infection is it adenoviral infection or herpes eye infection. all of these have different approach and treatment.

Foreign body should be removed otherwise it can cause corneal infection or keratitis.

Meanwhile try to use lubricant eye drops such as systane or genteal eye drops and also use antibiotics eye drops such as phenicol or tobramycin.
