CONTACT LENSES TORIC

Question

Hi,

I recently changed contact lenses to Acuvue Oasys Moist for Astigmatism. This is a new RX, and new lenses, but is the same in every way as my old lens (Acuvue Oasys 1-day for Toric) except for a slight difference in diameter.

My old lenses were 14.3 diameter. The new lenses are 14.5. Both are daily lenses. I've had a slight headache since I started wearing them.

Could the diameter change be causing headaches?

Thanks

Answer

Thanks for your Question

Sometimes changes in diameter of toric contact lenses can have effect on the power of the contact lens and this what might happen with you. Changes in refractive power especially in toric contact lenses can cause headache and eye pain or visual fatigue.

You have to follow with your optometrist regarding this issue.
