Hi,
My optometrist prescribed a specific brand of lens that he carries. The diameter of the lens is 14.1. Should I be able to wear a different brand of lens with a 14.2 diameter with little or no issue?

Contact lens with large diameter can be unstable when you wear it which might cause eye irritation, foreign body sensation and unstable vision.
I recommend that you wear what was prescribed by your optometrist and in case you are not comfortable with this brand he can prescribe another brand with different diameter and base curve that can fit your eye.
