Ovarian cyst and pneumonitis
Question
Hello!
I have a very poor eyesight. I've been wearing eyeglasses for the past 8 years. So now I'm planning to wear a pair of contact lenses.
I have a high eye grade and astigmatism. My right eye grade is 675 while my left eye is 225. In my case, I need special lenses for my astigmatism but my problem is it's a bit pricey.
Will it affect my vision if I'm going to purchase regular contact lenses instead?
Thank you.
Answer
Thanks for your Question
What type of contact lenses that you should purchase will depend mainly on the type of astigmatism you have. Regular contact lenses can correct regular astigmatism while irregular astigmatism need special type of contact lenses. So if you wear regular contact lenses and you have irregular astigmatism so you might end up with blurred vision.
Your Optometrist will determine what type of contact lens you should wear and you should consider options other than contact lenses such as lasik or implantation of phakic intraocular contact lenses. Discuss this issue with your eye doctor.
