Eye squint surgery when I was a child
Systane
I have hyperopia, I always wear glassea and I tried wearing contact lenses for like 3 times in my life.
Question
Hi, doctor.
I have asked a question here before about how to treat my condition (cornea swelling that causes rainbow vision around lights).
By the way my eyes aren’t red and my vision is not blurry and I don’t feel any pain .I am still using the eye drops (systane) 3 times per day.
It’s been two weeks since I started to see rainbows and haloes around strong lights and asked about it here.
I searched on google and found out that the endothelium cells of the cornea are damaged. I just want to know if these cells will heal by themselves with time. Is it normal that after two weeks I still don’t see any progress?
I am so scared and worried. I just want to know if my cornea can heal by itself and how long will it take if it’s possible?
Thank you
Answer
Thanks for your Question
Well i do prefer to visit an eye doctor to have full eye examination because without full eye examination by an eye doctor we will not find the cause and you will keep searching google and won't find the answer.
Damage to corneal endothelial cells can cause corneal edema or corneal swelling but why are you having damaged corneal endothelial cells at your age ?
Another common cause of rainbows and haloes around lights is high intraocular pressure. You said you are hyperopia which can be risk factor for that. High intraocular pressure can cause corneal edema
So you should visit an eye doctor for full eye examination and treat the cause
