Question

Hello,

I have very good vision and have not had any significant issues with my eyes in that past. However, about 6 months ago, my eyes started to be much more sensitive to light, air, and situations that made me anxious.

I have to wear sunglasses much more frequently because my eyes strain from the light, my eyes become dry very easily, and when I'm even slightly anxious, my eyes often water.

Do you have any suggestions to what would have brought on this sudden sensitivity and what I could do to help it? I have tried using eye drops, but they did not help.

Thanks for your Question

Most likely what you have is due to dry eyes which cause sensitivity to light and wind. You have to use prservative free lubricant eye drops such as systane eye drops, artelac advance, optive or refresh tears for at least 2-3 times a day.

One of the common causes of dry eyes is working several hours staring at computers or smart phone. Try to sit further away from your computer and also to try to blink more frequently.
