Did you perform any surgery for the eyes?
No
Do you suffer from pre-existing illnesses in the eye?

I had a blunt force trauma to left eye when 15.  Scar at front of cornea.  Have coped well up to now wearing glasses but am having problems mainly with fitting this time.  The lens on my right [good] eye is touching my eyelashes.

The opticians have tried everything most times making my glasses too uncomfortable to wear.  I suspect the lens is thicker this time as I had an old pair made into my computer glasses and where before they were ok now can barely wear them.

Do you suffer from any diseases in the body?

Some athritis.

Do you use any eye drops?

Hycosan for dry eyes

Do you wear Contact lenses or Eyeglasses?

Leses for everyday/reading and now computer also.

Question

As mentioned none of my recent new glasses will fit.  Eyelashes in right eye hitting off lenses in all three pairs.

Suspect that the left eye lens thicker than before.  Stronger prescription than before.  Have good eyesight in this eye. Optician has tried everything.

I suspect it is the lens as I got an old pair changed to computer glasses and as the frames were ok before now have the above problem.

Answer

Thanks for your Question

It seems you need frame adjustment which i can't help you in that. The optometrist can help you in frame adjustment, nose pads and frame size.

You said that your lens is thicker than before, do you have any sort of cataract in your eyes. Patients with cataract always complain about changes in eyeglasses prescription with time.

If you have cataract, you can ask for cataract removal surgery with intraocular lens implantation. This intraocular lens can help you to get rid of glasses

Your eyeglass is moving all the way down on your nose because it is heavy from the thick lenses. The best way is to implant intraocular lens after removing of cataract. Double check about this point with your eye doctor.

But if you don't have cataract then your optometrist has to adjust the frame and nose pads.
