Question

Hi,

When I pull my glasses, 1-4 inches from my eyes, the vision through the glasses gets incredibly clear.

What causes this?

This has happened my whole (glasses) life. I've had at least 8 prescriptions through the years, and its all the same situation. When I put them back on my normal nose spot, the vision goes back to semi-clear.

Thanks

Answer

Thanks for your Question

That's mean your glasses are over correction, in another word your optometrist gave your refractive power more than what you need. Over correction can cause eye pain, headache and eye strain with reading and computer work.

You have to discuss this issue with your optometrist for further evaluation.

Wow, ok. Thanks!

My vision is so blurry without them, even though it's such a low prescription. Maybe we'll try a lower power.
