Headache while wearing eyeglasses

Prescription is +0.50 D in my left eye and -2.0 D in the right eye. I have Oakley flak 2.0 glasses that i just got a few days ago that i wear for baseball.

Hi,

I received my glasses a few days ago and wear them only while hitting during baseball. so i put them on for about 15 mins then take them off. and repeat that for 3 times within an hour.

I find sometimes that when i put the glasses on after about 10 minutes, my eyes start to hurt and it gives me a headache. Then when I take them off, my eyes hurt a few minutes after.

I’ve been told so many things. Should I wear them outside of baseball, just to get my eyes used to it?

Should i wear them for extended periods of time during the game? Should I try and reduce the amount of times I take them on and off ?

What do you think?

Thanks for your Question

You have something called Anisometropia which is a difference in refractive power between both eyes. This anisometrpia can cause headache when you wear eyeglasses but it won't cause headache if you wear contact lenses or do lasik eye surgery.

You might have to think about wearing contact lenses or do lasik eye surgery for better visual quality and also to prevent headache.
