Question
Hi,
I went to an optical shop to make an eyeglasses for me.The person at the shop examined me and my details are as follows:
Left eye :cylindrical, - 0.50×180
Right eye: cylindrical, - 0.50 ×160.
PD for right eye 32.5 PD for left eye 31.5 but when i went today to the shop to collect the glasses I asked another person at the shop to measure the PD he measured it as left eye pd 31 and right eye pd 32.5.
He measured three times. Respected Dr. my question is if there will be any problem if the pd in left eye is 0.5 mm more? Should I make a new glass again?
Thanks
Answer
Thanks for your Question
You didn't mention how they measure you PD, manual or automatically through autorefraction. Anyway 0.5 mm is insignificant for most of the people and they wont notice any difference. You can try this new eyeglasses and if you feel uncomfortable with it, you can go back for re-evaluation.
Comments
They did it automatically using a binocular like device probably known as pupilometer.
