I wear reading glasses. My eye sight is completely fine.

Hi,

I have a small lump inside my upper eyelid on both eyes and I feel irritation in my eyes. I can feel the lump in my eyes when I tightly close or rub my eyes.

Please help me to provide guidance regarding this.

Most likely what you have is called chalazion which is hard cyst that occurs due to blockage of oil glands in the inner surface of the eyelid.

You have to follow up with your eye doctor because most likely you will need surgical removal of them which is simple procedure and can be done in the outpatient clinic.

Most people with chalazion have dry eyes which can be manifested as foreign body sensation and irritation. You can use lubricant eye drops such as systane eye drops to treat dry eyes
