Asthma
Question
Hello,
I am a 16 year old and have recently been to an ophthalmologist because I didn't see well on the school checkup. I got a dioptre of -0.50. Then he checked my eyes and said that I will have to go to the hospital for further checks and that it is very urgent (within 14 days).
I will put the image of my results here so you can see and tell me what is it (DDLS: do:5 lo:7 ).My ophthalmologist didn't say a lot. So I am really concerned.
Best regards

Answer
Thanks for you Question
I can't read it all because it is not in English but overall your visual acuity with glasses is 20/20 for both eyes. Intraocular pressure within normal limit. The normal range of intraocular pressure is 10-20 mmHg and yours was 12 mmHg.
Your doctor was concerned about how your optic discs look like but that doesn't mean you have something wrong. Most likely this is how your optic disc look like and it is normal.
Nothing to worry about but you have to go to the hospital as your doctor said.
There is one thing you have to keep in your mind. Try not to use Inhaled steroid in regular basis for the treatment of Asthma as this can cause increase in intraocular pressure.
