Question

Hi,

As i have turned 18 now, i am pretty confused about whether i should go for lasik eye surgery or implantable contact lenses and which is more effective one ? is 18  the right age to go for surgery ?

what are the side effects of both surgery ? Which one is better and and are implantable contact lenses one time surgery or do they get changed after a period of time ?

Thanks

Thanks for your Question

Lasik or PRK should always be the first option for refractive surgery. For many reasons, some people won't be good candidate for lasik or PRK so one of the second line of options is Implantable Collamer Lens surgery or phakic intraocular lens implantation.

With your refractive power, which is 3.0 D, most likely lasik or PRK is a good option for you.
