Question

Hi,

I had a trans PRK refractive surgery 19 days ago. I had 0.75 in my left eye and 2.75 in my right with a small amount of astigmatism.

Now, however, my vision isn't 100% , is this normal!?. I can see with my right eye better than my left in contrast to what was happening

before doing the operation..is that normal? also my vision is still like "blurry" for a distance. is that normal too?

Thanks

Answer

Thanks for your Question

At 19 Days post PRK your vision should be at least the same as your vision with eyeglasses before the surgery. I think you should go back to your doctor and have a discussion with him/her about your concerns.

There are many causes of blurred vision after PRK such as corneal haziness, dry eyes, under or over correction and excessive accommodation and each of these has its own way of treatment.
