Eye squint surgery from a long time ago
Systane Eye Drops
I have hyperopia and I wear glasses (I tried contact lenses for 3 times in my life)
Question
Hi doctor,
I have hyperopia and I always wear glasses (I wore contact lenses 3 times in my life). I have a swelling cornea (but no pain, no red eyes and no blurry vision).
I see everything normally like before but the main problem is the rainbow rings that I see around strong lights.
I just want to know if I can do the Lasik surgery after 9 months?
Thanks
Answer
Thanks for your Question
In order to know if you are a good candidate for lasik eye surgery, full eye examination and corneal imaging test should be done. It is important for your eyes to be generally healthy, free of infections, diseases and injuries. Your corneal imaging or pentacam should be within normal limits.
In general, patient with corneal swelling is ineligible for lasik eye surgery. Your doctor should find the cause of this corneal swelling and treat it and also he has to be sure this is not a recurrent condition.
