Hi,

I was having redness and irritation in my right eye. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me some eye drops and an ointment, but she said i have developed some pigments on my lens of the right eye.

I want to know what is pigments on my lens of the right eye mean, and can it be cured and how crucial is this for my eye health, she also said if the redness persists it mean there is some systematic disease that is causing the problem.

There are many types of pigments that can deposit on the lens and also many causes of that. I think you have to ask your doctor about what is the type of pigment on your lens, color, location of the pigments, any associated pigments on the cornea and let me know.
