Hi,

Yesterday my mom aged 62 has hurt her right eye while opening the cupboard and eyes have turned red and the white portion above cornea is pain and continuous water is flowing from eyes.

Which eye drop and ointment to apply or medicine to take kindle please advise.

Thanks for your Question

You can use Voltaren Ophtha Eye drop to reduce pain. Also use antibiotics eye drops to prevent any infection for the wound in the conjunctiva such as tobramycin or vigamox. You have to e sure that your mom is not allergic to any of these medication.

This redness might be caused by subconjunctival hemorrhage from the wound or due to irritation of the conjunctiva

You have to visit an eye doctor if your mom has blurry vision, new eye floaters or flashes of light, continuous pain and yellowish-green discharge.
