Hi,

My 5 year old has -0.25 D sphere and -0.5 D astigmatism at 15 axis for left eye and -0.25 D sphere with -0.5 D astigmatism at axis 150 for the right eye.

does she need glasses?

With this eyeglasses prescription,It depends mainly on the visual acuity of your son.Children who have reached 5 to 6 years of age can be tested with the same procedures that are used to assess visual acuity in adults.

Blurry vision may be interfering with your son's ability to learn in school. So if his vision without glasses is 20/20 then there is no need for eyeglasses but if visual acuity below 20/20 then he should use eyeglasses.

Annual eye examination is also required for your son just to follow up with his visual acuity and if there is any changes in his prescription.
