Hi,

We consulted doctor for my baby as intermittent squint she is 2 years and 10 months. Doctor suggested to apply atropine eye drops 3 times a day for 3 days. Now my child is closely watching book while doing homework and she can't read properly. She is watching closely

How long this effect will be there

The effect of atropine eye drop can last up to 20 days in normal eye. Atropine causes cycloplegia or paralysis of ciliary muscle that is responsible for accommodation and near vision.
