Question

Hi,

My name is Vasanth.A age is 24 working in IT field. I had an eye problem for past 4 months, when looking at the computer my eyes are gets tired and I feel like the slight pain and weight over my forehead surrounded by eyes.

I consulted with the eye specialist to check my vision, after completing the check up I got the result that I have 0.25+ powers on my eyes also the doctor said this power is common for everybody nowadays so no need to wear specs and all.

He suggested the eye drop which is Hyproellose Ophthalmic solution USO (Eyemist Forte). I used the drops but I could not find any difference.

Now what is my problem is I feel the pain because of lightening, the rays which is coming from the computer, Am sure I don’t have any EYE strain and all. Even I feel the pain recently while am watching the movie in theater, when white picture comes in the screen I can’t able to look up the screen. It’s really hurts to me. There is the water coming from the eyes I feel like itching on my eyes.

After my friends advice I bought the glass which has anti-reflection coating with zero power. After using the class I find myself better and I don’t feel any pain on my eyes, it works fine.

My question is, why this happened on my eyes, what is the problem I have and why that rays affecting to my eyes, what is the solution for that?

Thanks

Thanks for your Question

What you experience is common problem and it is called computer eye strain. There are many causes of it but the most common are dry eyes and glare from excessive lightening and near work. Glasses with anti-reflection reduce unwanted effects of excessive lightening.

I would prefer also to use artificial tears which helps to prevent dry eyes.
