Question

Hi,

I have been suffering from conjunctivitis in my right eye since 4 days. The eye is swollen, red, painful and has a sticky discharge.

i have no relief from using the drops. I was using fucithalmic first then the doctor changed me on tobrex. And I still find no relief. I'm starting to get a sore throat and fever.

what do I do?

Thanks

Answer

Thanks for your Question

Most likely this is right viral conjunctivitis. You need mild corticosteroid eye drops to relief symptoms of viral infection. Usually it is self-limited infection but sometimes you need eye drops to reduce its symptoms and signs.

You can use pred mild eye drops, lotemax eye drops or tobradex eye drops.
