Question

Hi,

I am having trouble getting into the right kind of correction using contact lenses.

I have three issues: Presbyopia, Astigmatism ,Nearsightedness. I have tried lenses that addressed my Astigmatism. But due to age, my presbyopia became more bothersome.

So, I tried wearing one lens for nearsightedness and the other for farsightedness. This was not a good solution because I couldn't see well enough close up.

Recently, I was fitted for contacts that aim at solving the presbyopia problem. But I cannot see well in them for distances.

What can I do? What would you suggest?

Thanks

Answer

Thanks for your Question

There are different types of contact lenses for presbyopia and none of them can give complete satisfaction for patients for far and near vision at the same time.

I always recommend my patients to wear contact lens to correct astigmatism and nearsightedness (Myopia) and use Eyeglasses for near task.
