i have quite a high minus and have been wearing contact lense (monthly contact lense) for over 10 years now.

Hi,

So I have been using contact lenses for 10 years now. Around 2-3 weeks ago, I could not wear the contact lenses for longer than 2 hours. Now it got worse because it reduces to 1 hour as it hurts and my eyes feel so dry. I also have sensitivity to light (sunshine especially). Please help as I don't want to use glasses all the time as it's uncomfortable.

Thanks for your Question

The symptoms you describeb in your question are related to dry eyes so you have to take off your contact lenses for at least 2-3 weeks and use preservative free lubricant eye drops every 3-4 hours.

Contact lenses can cause severe dry eyes and multiple small corneal wounds with corneal swelling especially in long term use.
