Question

Hello,

I have been using -1,75 contact lenses for both my eyes for around 3 years, but recently I noticed that my left eye had gone worse so i bought a -2,00 contact lens for it.

Today, when I put it in my eye, at first my sight was perfect but after ~30 minutes it had gone a lot worse, but since I was at school I didn't have the chance to take it out for ~2 hours.

After I took it out I put back a -1,75 contact lens but still my sight was not back to how it was before I used the -2,00 contact lens.

I am worried I permanently damaged my eye by using the -2,00 contact lens, because I probably did something wrong, since i didn't consult an optometrist before using the -2,00 contact lens.

Thanks

Thanks for your Question

There is no permanent damage to wear overcorrection contact lenses. Simply you have to check with optometrist your new refractive power.
