Cataract Eye Surgery
Question
Hi,
I had Cataract surgery 3 weeks ago, blurred vision has not left, Opt said, it would not leave, I was given a choice of having laser surgery for $1800.00 or glasses.
I am waiting for glasses and hope it cuts the blurriness out.The 3rd week they found my intraocular pressure was higher than it was after surgery, so now I have that to worry about.
Meantime, I have terrible headaches, not safe driving and my husband has ALZ..I did not expect complications. I have blurred vision continually in that eye. I was given a choice of distance or near sight, I don't have either..Maybe when I get the glasses I will.
I would go to a specialist for anything else, not Discover Vision Center Dr.'s..Saying a prayer something will work for me.
Answer
Thanks for your Question
High intraocular pressure after cataract surgery should be treated with eye drops for glaucoma. Most of the time it is temporary condition and subside within 1-2 months.
Vision is usually stabilized within 1 month after cataract surgery but sometimes and due to complications during the surgery, vision starts to improve one month after surgery. I don't recommend to wear eyeglasses now because your vision still not stabilized. Give it more time.
