Question
Hi,
I need a second opinion on eyeglasses for my daughter. The doctor said slight myopia -0.7 D, -1.0 D. Does she need Eyeglasses? If so, what exactly would they be used for? Would eyeglasses be required for all activities or limited?
I've been told that this slightness in nearsightedness would not necessarily require correction.
My daughter is in perfect health.
Thank you
Answer
Thanks for your Question
She has mild myopia or nearsightedness. People with myopia has blurred vision for objects in far distance. She has to wear this eyeglasses all the time because it will help her to see objects in far distance better especially if she is in school. Not wearing the eyeglasses can cause headache and eye strain
Regular follow up with your eye doctor is very important
