Question

Hi,

I visited my eye specialist today and he wrote at my examination report, Intraocular pressure=  20.   22  and then he ordered some tests:

1. VF30-2
2. CCT
3. OCT

What is my problem ? and what's the purpose of these tests.

Thank you.

Answer

Thanks for your Question

From the examination your intraocular pressure (IOP) is on the borderline. It should be under 20 but your are 20 on the right eye and 22 on the left eye. Above normal intraocular pressure is called glaucoma

Sometimes there reading are normal and nothing to worry about so her ordered some tests to make sure.

VF is visual field test. CCT is central corneal thickness and OCT is an image for the retina and optic disc. The results of these tests can determine if you have glaucoma or not.
